Hey ladies! So, there is always sooo much to get done on a daily basis. We have school, work, kids, appointments and errands to take care of and time with God is just another ADD-ON to our list. We think time with God will take away from everything else we have to get done and so we just push time with Him to the side and go on about our day. But what then happens is half way through the day we feel empty, exhausted, overwhelmed and frustrated barely accomplishing anything. At that point we just feel worthless and discouraged. There would be countless times where I'd wake up in the morning and find myself with a long list of things to do that spending time with God was the least of my concerns. I would just continue my day and end up feeling defeated, alone and ready to quit. We are not superwomen ladies. Yes, God has given us the ability to multi-task but ULTIMATELY we need HIM to get through the day. We still need His strength, His wisdom, His direction, His protection, AND His presence. If not, we burn out pretty quickly. Our day should be given over to Him. When we learn to cultivate that, things fall right into place, we get more done, we have PEACE, and we become SRESS-FREE. Before I start my day, I like to say this AFTER MY TIME WITH GOD: YOU LOVE ME. YOU SAVED ME. MY LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS. YOUR MERCIES ARE NEW FOR ME EACH DAY. TODAY, I GIVE ALL TO YOU. MY CIRCUMSTANCES, MY DECISIONS, MY DISAPPOINTMENTS, MY TASKS, AND MY SHORTCOMINGS. FOR YOU ARE IN CONTROL. IN RETURN, I TAKE YOUR PEACE, YOUR JOY, YOUR WISDOM, YOUR LOVE, AND HOPE. TAKE OVER JESUS. WITH YOU ALL IS POSSIBLE AND I CAN DO ALL THINGS. NO SITUATION I FACE TODAY IS TOO HARD TO HANDLE. ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THOSE WHO LOVE GOD. THANK YOU JESUS. I'LL TRUST YOU. This is just an idea of statements you can tell yourself before you start your day--each day. When we begin to remind ourselves and speak out the truth it gives strength to go. So let Jesus be your Superman and let His Word be your running fuel to tackle any villain or challenge you face!

Hey ladies! So I was on my way to work the other day and spoke to God about how difficult it was going to be to find parking in the area. I said "Jesus, I know You are able, You are faithful, and You are a mighty God." Well, when I reached there, I spent LITERALLY almost an hour looking for parking and made my patient miss her bus for school in the process. I felt terrible!!! I even got upset with God at one point because I was just like "why would You allow her to go through getting dressed, waking up early, only to find out she wasn't going to be able to go to school because of me. You could have made me find a parking last minute"...BUT then I was reminded..GOD OWES NO EXPLANATION TO WHAT HE ALLOWS TO HAPPEN and thats it. There's a reason why it happened. My job is to thank Him that His ways are better and greater. Boy, did I feel bad though. And right as I was about to start giving in to the negative thoughts of shame and failure-- "Look what you did, you are so bad, you're irresponsible, etc."--I had to check myself and say "This situation does not define who I am in the eye's of the Master. I am still in Christ. I am still His daughter, deeply loved by Him. I am still worth it. And as I began to speak life to myself, I regained strength, confidence and joy. Those thoughts and feelings I had were gone. I was able to continue to walk with my head held high looking to Jesus and not down at myself. God is good y'all. Thank Him even when you don't understand your situation because He's got it all under CONTROL. Don't let your situation define who you are! You're God's child and He loves you! Sit back and trust Him! |
